Welcome to Long Beach, California. This is the home of the official 2008 web site of the Paradise Falcons, a Long Beach based softball team!

Competing as a member of the Surf and Sun Softball League, the Falcons are glad you checked us out! Since, 2006, the Falcons have scored both on and off the field. Just one of the several super gay softball teams assembled in Orange County & Long Beach, the Falcons were recently voted the most popular team representing Long Beach.

During the Spring, the team plays every Sunday at local parks.  During the Fall season, the team practices and tests new recruits.  The Falcons, however, is the team to join and the team that draws the most fans to our stadium. With devoted families, friends and one night stands, our bleachers are packed with fun, laughter and cheerleaders!  Heck, we even have a web site!

In 2008, the Falcons expanded to two power house teams: the original "C" team and spin off rookie "D" team.  with the quest to win the season, both teams went to have a very exciting year.   If you think you missed out, you haven't.   The Falcons plan to take 2009 with a vengeance.

Our practices games are as local as Marine park in Belmonte Shore to parks in nearby Cerritos or Huntington Beach.  So, why not come out and be athletic supporters?

The more fans we have the better the game, the better the audience that support our team.  If you can't make a game, then consider checking out ParadisePianoBar.com and this web site for fundraisers that we have at Paradise.  It's an easy way to support us and we love our fans!  Simply, the Falcon's know how to bring it on!  Come out and celebrate the game and chant our mantra in the stands.

A REAL FALCON

The Falcons began as a team that refused to have any "Drama," allowed for the guys to just have fun, and build friendships based on trust and mutual respect. To break those rules means not upholding those values and, (yes, it's happened, some Falcons were unlisted from the team.)  But, 2009, looks very promising. The teams are growing stronger, both in  strength and commitment. But are there shakes being planned for 2009?  One never knows if you'll get the pink slip for breaking these rules.

DRAG WARS: REWIND

THIS TIME WE'RE GOING TO WRECK THE FALCON

As the fall season continues, it's the return of the fundraiser everyone's been talking about.  Last year, the select softball guys did 'drag" for the first time and presented a show that gave Paradise Piano Bar one of it's biggest events of the year.  Filmed for television, the drag show dubbed "DRAG WARS" introduced five amazing drag queens who photos now appear on the Paradise Hall of Sha  ...uh, that's Hall of Fame.

The next drag show was held this November and, boy, did it going to wreck Havoc!  Yep, our sister softball team "The Havocs" attempted to give us a run for our money earlier this year, and although we tip our hats to their performances, we're not even remotely done.  Our sequel drag show landed a donation of $5000 to the team, and over $700 in Paradise donations.  Boy, are we humbled by the generosity.

In fact, we are holding a repeat performance of DRAG WARS 2: REWIND at the FALCON Bar in January for those that missed it.  Also, four of drag queens are now appearing on notebook cards and pins featured on 1800Broadway , Paradise's new internet store.  There are plenty of Falcon wear, too.  Also, look for the limited edition calendar.

Oh, and don't think for a moment that we aren't already planning DRAG WARS III: Rise of the Ling Ling.  The amazing third act will be explosive!

TOYS FOR TOTS

This Christmas, the Falcons conducts a special fundraiser: The Pancake Breakfast. Pre-sold tickets will help raise money for the Falcons.  In conjunction with the holidays, a TOYS FOR TOTS event where every toy donated, you'll get a free mimosa with your breakfast.  This year, in a touch economy, consider donating a toy that will go to a child and help keep the spirit of Christmas alive in their hearts.... and in yours.  The TOYS FOR TOTS donation barrel will be at Paradise. Donations accepted any time.

THE TRAVELING FALCONS

The traveling Falcons hit the road again this year to Minneapolis, San Diego and soon Palm Springs for a record number of tournaments for our Falcon teams.  Be sure to check out our new photos in our gallery for more.
